Verification of Degrees.

I have a job offer from company in Netherlands. They are doing some verification of degrees. My degree should be verified (not attesting a photocopy) by HEC or the degree awarding institution in Pakistan? Anyone has such experience?

I have had experience of this degree verification process only in Spain. They have different set of rules for EU and non EU degrees. For Eu degree one only has to submit an application with the translation of the degree and the transcript in Spanish. They original set is returned on the same day.
For non EU degree, e.g., Pakistan , the degree has to be attested by the Spanish Embassy in Pakistan which in turn requires it to be attested by the HEC and foreign office. Some non EU countries, e.g., India, have a pact with Spain and they follow the same procedure as EU degrees.
